I am a stay-at-home-mom of 3 wonderful kids, ‘J-Pie’ (5), ‘J-Boy’ (3) and ‘LeeLee’ (2), and wife to an amazing man… we’ll call him ‘Cool Guy’. As for me, I’m ‘Mom’. We have been married for 8 years now. We met in college as we were both going through the Graphic Design program. We both hold degrees in Graphic Design and working from home we provide design services and our own line of notecards, invitations and announcements through our online shop, www.adgraphics.etsy.com. Cool Guy also works outside the home for the local school district in the maintenance department and he is an elder in our little community bible church and gives the morning message every Sunday.
I have always been a very creative person, even as a child. Since my kids were born I have discovered a hidden passion for my sewing machine! I have two daughters and one son, and I absolutely love creating one-of-a-kind pieces for them. Inspired by this new found love, I began a second business venture: LeeLee & JJ – A Baby Boutique. I sell baby tutu dresses, vintage inspired baby bonnets and pinafore sets, hand-made fabric flower headbands and more! Find my shop at www.leeleeandjj.etsy.com. The name of my boutique is inspired by my kids’ names… can you figure it out?
My other passion is cooking! For me, cooking is just another creative outlet. I also love to entertain, whether it be my kids’ birthday parties or just have a few friends over. Theme parties are my favorite! Coming up with menus and decorations for parties is so fun! I am a mom on a budget, so a lot of my decorations are handmade. I am also a research junkie, and I will find what I am looking for at the best price!
What will you find on this blog? I hope to document different craft projects I am working on, party planning (especially kids’ birthdays), recipes and maybe a little rambling here and there. I warn you… I am not witty, at all. My husband is very quick witted, which I secretly envy. When I try to be witty, it ends up sounding completely ridiculous, which may in and of itself be funny every once in awhile.
So, come with me on this little excursion and feel free to be inspired! Please introduce yourself in a comment below, and if you have a blog, post a link. I would love to see it!
‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ ~John 3:16
‘I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the [life] which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.’ ~Galations 2:20
